Neil Armstrong (1930–2012) was remembered as a legendary astronaut and the first person in human history to set foot on the surface of the Moon. He dedicated much of his life to aviation and space exploration, becoming an icon of courage and an unlimited spirit of discovery. With his historic step in 1969, he opened a new era for space science and was widely admired for his modesty and constant efforts toward the advancement of all humankind.
